PLATFORMA Jiu Jitsu

For parents

BJJ for kids — safer than you think.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling sport with no strikes and no kicks. Studies show lower injury rates than football. What your child takes away from class goes far beyond the mat.

Common parent questions.

Is BJJ dangerous for kids?+

No. There are no strikes or kicks. Studies show lower injury rates than football or skiing.

What if my child is shy?+

That is exactly when BJJ is most valuable. Our coaches work patiently with quieter kids.

Does my child have to be aggressive?+

Quite the opposite. BJJ makes kids calmer because they no longer feel they need to prove anything.
